For the Fall 2018 semester, Dr. Gushee will be teaching a Moral Leaders course to seminarians in Atlanta, as well as a new course on Genocide to the undergraduate students in Macon. Dr. Gushee finds great joy in teaching and developing relationships with students outside of the classroom. He loves hanging out with students and teaching them lessons in humility on the tennis court.
Dr. Gushee supervises the Christian Ethics students at McAfee. He and his wife periodically open their home to host movie nights, book discussion, or gatherings for students called Friends of Ethics nights. This tradition reaches back to Dr. Gushee’s time as a student at Southern Seminary in Louisville. Dr. Gushee also enjoys advocating for his students, writing strong recommendations, and helping graduates discern their calling and reach for their dreams.
